Patterson House Update

Dear Fellow Parishioners,

We are writing to give an update on the repairs required at Patterson House and to let you know we are now launching a “Friends of Belfry” drive to raise the needed funds for this work so that Belfry can resume its outreach work in the community as soon as possible.

We have met with township officials to ensure we have a full understanding of the repairs required. Rewiring of the electrical system and revisions to the fire escape are the primary requirements identified. We have gotten the necessary electrical quotes and have selected an electrician. We are seeking additional quotes on the fire escape work but we have an initial estimate.

Rewiring the electrical system has been quoted at $31,000 and the initial estimate for repairs to the fire escape is $12,000. 

We are asking for your prayerful consideration of a financial donation to help us move forward. Your support will be greatly appreciated by the many who benefit from our presence in the community, our volunteers, and the charities that Messiah’s Outreach ministry supports.

Donations should be made payable to Church of the Messiah, please include in the footnote section “For Patterson House.” We are unable to begin the projects until we have raised all the required funds.
